    Amanda Soza, Head Director

    Mrs. Soza is originally from Lewisville, Texas. She has been dancing since the age of 3. Growing up, she attended Dance Xpress where she trained in ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz and contemporary. While in high school, Mrs. Soza was a member of the Farmerette dance team at Lewisville High School for four years. She was a Jr. Lieutenant and Senior Captain, and received several awards, including Farmerette of the Year and Most Dedicated her senior year. Mrs. Soza graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Kinesiology Dance Science. During her time at A&M she trained in ballet and modern, and had the opportunity to perform in various dance shows. Mrs. Soza participated in the Undergraduate Research Scholars program, along with three other students. Their research has since been presented at the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science annual conference, as well as being published. After graduating from Texas A&M, she participated in the Disney College Program, where she was able to work for The Walt Disney Company, at Disney World, in Florida. Mrs. Soza has worked at Saginaw High School for six years. She was the assistant dance director and is now the Head Dance Director and Student Council Advisor.

     

    Kayci Collie, Assistant Director

    Mrs. Roof grew up in Arlington, Texas. She has been dancing since the age of two and grew up dancing and competing with studio dance. While in high school, Mrs. Roof was a member of the Mansfield Summit Sapphires Drill Team for four years where she served as Lieutenant, 1st Lieutenant, and Captain. After high school, Mrs. Roof went to Kilgore College where she was a member of the 79th line of the World-Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes and received an Associates of Arts in Dance. While at Kilgore, Mrs. Roof performed in England and Italy, open the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, perform at two Cotton Bowls, and perform at the opening of the Texas State Fair. After Kilgore, Mrs. Roof went to Texas A&M University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Performance Studies. Mrs. Roof is entering her third year as an educator and is thrilled to have joined Saginaw this year as the Assistant Starsteppers Director and Golden Stars JV Director!
